Couple with no room for TV in their home share ‘brilliant’ hack to still have a big screen

With the cost of living rising, many people might find themselves downsizing their space to save money and as such, they’ll likely have to make their homes as clutter-free as possible.

One couple on TikTok have taken this to the next level by ditching their TV as they didn’t have room for it and opting for a space-saving idea instead.

It instantly made the room look cosier, and would be perfect for Netflix marathons – Stranger Things volume two anybody?!

In the video posted by @bethhayton16, the video says ‘Don’t have room for a TV?’ whilst the pair can be seen fixing a pull down screen around the window area in their home.

The video was captioned: “The best thing we have bought for our house.”

The screen can then be seen being pulled down, the lights go out and Netflix can be seen in high definition projected on to it.

It looks like a seriously cinematic experience.

In the comments, Beth said: “It won’t let me post the links but if you search ‘Manual Projector Screen Matt Pull Down Projection’ on The Range it should come up!”

She then went on to explain that it cost around £160 in total, and they put the projector on a floating shelf with an Amazon fire stick in.

People were quick to point out that it was a great idea because you get a big screen and it doesn’t take much room at all.

One person commented: “Brilliant!!! And also doubles as a blind so it’s a win-win.”

“Omg I NEED THIS!!! Brilliant idea for small spaces thank you”, wrote another.

Someone else said it was “so clever and cosy.”

Another said: “If we get a place like this, this is a banging idea and I’ve always loved it.”

People called the move “smart” and said it was “ideal” for new build homes which maybe don’t have as much room as you’d like.
